Police are investigating the recent chaos at the Willowbrook Mall in Wayne NJ and attempting to determine the validity of reports of violence.
On Sunday night, visitors to the Willowbrook Mall needed to evacuate after social media accounts indicated that someone was armed with a handgun and firing gunshots.
When Wayne NJ cops got to the mall, they saw at least 20 people fleeing the building entrance. One person also approached a police patrol vehicle and said that multiple people were trying to shoot each other inside the mall.

Fortunately, no one was seriously injured as a result of the incident.
Thus far, three people have been issued notices of trespass by security guards at the mall. Additionally, one juvenile was taken into police custody.
Wayne detectives are currently investigating the incident and reviewing mall security footage. Depending on the outcome of the investigation, it s possible that the juvenile taken into custody by law enforcement could be charged with disorderly conduct or simple assault.
