Trio of 19 Year-olds Charged with Shooting at a Vehicle in Paterson

According to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office, three 19 year-olds were arrested in connection to a shooting on Jersey Street. Police allege that the trio were riding in a vehicle when they fired at another occupied vehicle containing four Paterson residents. Police said that the gunfire struck the vehicle but none of the occupants were injured. Police noticed both of the vehicles pulled over on Route 21 near Exit 7. Police recovered a handgun from the trio’s vehicle. Nasir Clark, Aleena Rivera, and Nijel Towns were each charged with four counts of attempted murder, unlawful possession of a handgun and possession of a handgun for unlawful purpose. The state of New Jersey is strict regarding the unlawful possession of a weapon.
