Suspects Accused of Importing Heroin, Cocaine from Passaic County, Distributing Drugs in Morris County NJ

Clifton NJ Heroin Distribution ChargesNJ law enforcement recently arrested a number of people in connection with a local drug ring that operated out of Passaic County, NJ.

According to the Morris County Prosecutor s Office, the drug ring included several people who imported heroin and cocaine from Passaic County so that they could sell the drugs in Morris County, including places like Morristown, Dover, and Victory Gardens.

Once officials with the Morris County Prosecutor s Office Special Enforcement Unit and the Morristown Police Department became aware of the illegal drug activity, they opened an investigation. The investigation lasted three months and eventually traced the source of the illegal drugs to a family that included a 56-year-old Dover NJ man and his 51-year-old brother from Morristown NJ.

The two suspects allegedly purchased the drugs, which included large quantities of heroin and cocaine, from a 47-year-old woman who lived in Clifton, New Jersey.

NJ authorities shut down the drug operation after obtaining search warrants and arrest warrants for the suspects. The warrants were served throughout Passaic County and Morris County.

The drug raids, which were conducted by Morris County law enforcement and Passaic County police, resulted in the arrests of 24 people. Among those arrested by police were several alleged drug dealers and their customers.

Additionally, police allegedly seized in excess of 1,400 folds of heroin, 55 grams of cocaine, and a large amount of drug paraphernalia. Beyond that, police reportedly seized more than $33,000 in cash that is believed to be the proceeds of many drug deals.

The two main suspects have been charged with distribution of heroin and distribution of cocaine. Meanwhile, the individuals accused of purchasing drugs have been charged with heroin possession and cocaine possession.

After being placed under arrest and processed, the two brothers accused of selling the illegal narcotics were transported to the Morris County Correctional Facility in Morristown, New Jersey. They were each being held at the jail in lieu of massive $250K bail amounts.
