Ringwood Man Accused of Importing Cocaine from Guyana

The suspect is a 50-year-old man who lives in Ringwood, NJ and works as a pilot. According to federal prosecutors, the suspect flew a plane containing large amounts of cocaine and supplied drug dealers in NJ and NY. The plane s origin was reportedly Guyana, where the suspect would allegedly pick up the illegal narcotics.

Additionally, the suspect allegedly smuggled cash into the US. Authorities claimed that the suspect laundered money obtained through the illegal drug transactions.

Law enforcement officials with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and IRS Criminal Investigations investigated the suspect and arrested him in July 2015. He was subsequently charged with conspiracy to distribute cocaine and money laundering.

Now the suspect could be headed to trial in US District Court in Trenton after a grand jury indicted him on the very serious criminal charges.
