Paterson NJ Police Investigate String of Shootings

Paterson NJ Homicide LawyersPaterson NJ law enforcement is investigating a number of recent shootings that left one person dead and multiple people injured.

The shooting incidents occurred over a single weekend.

The first shooting happened near the intersection of Straight Street and Montgomery Street in Paterson, New Jersey. Paterson NJ cops and emergency medical responders rushed to the scene, but they were unable to save one of the victims. He was pronounced dead at the scene of the violent incident. Meanwhile, a second victim was injured in the shooting and treated at a local hospital.

The second shooting occurred that same night around the intersection of 23rd Street and 12th Avenue in Paterson NJ. A female victim suffered a gunshot wound to her leg.

The third shooting occurred the next night, with two people sustaining serious injuries after being shot in the area of Governor Street and Carroll Street in Paterson. They were both transported to nearby St. Joseph s Regional Medical Center, where doctors treated them for their wounds.

If Paterson NJ police can identify the person responsible for the fatal shooting, the culprit would likely face first degree murder charges. If detectives can identify and apprehend any of the people responsible for the non-fatal shootings, the culprits would probably be charged with aggravated assault and weapons offenses.
