Police in Paterson New Jersey are searching for a man accused of attempted murder.
The shooting reportedly occurred in Paterson s Third Ward, near the corner of 19th Avenue and East 33rd Street. The victim had reportedly gotten into his car moments before gunshots were fired.
The victim, who is from Bloomfield NJ, was rushed to St. Joseph s Regional Medical Center, where he was treated for multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body. Officials later described the victim s condition as improving.
Investigators believe that the victim was targeted because of a dispute between him and the shooter.
After the shooting, Paterson police officers canvassed the area in search of the suspect but could not locate him.
Meanwhile, the suspect, a 20-year-old from Paterson NJ, has been charged with attempted murder for the shooting incident. It is also possible that police could potentially charge a second person in the shooting, since witnesses indicated that there was a second man who approached the suspect prior to the violent incident.
The suspect is said to frequent the area around the site of the shooting in Paterson, New Jersey.
Paterson police are asking for the public s help in locating him. However, authorities have said that the suspect should be considered armed and dangerous, so anyone who spots him should exercise extreme caution and immediately notify law enforcement.
