Paterson NJ police arrested a man accused of shooting someone on a city street.
The suspect is a 45-year-old male from Paterson, NJ. He allegedly used a handgun to shoot a 51-year-old male who was walking on the 100 block of Cedar Street in Paterson, New Jersey.
The victim was later transported to St. Joseph s Regional Medical Center and treated for shooting-related injuries. According to officials, the victim sustained at least one gunshot wound to his leg.
Paterson New Jersey detectives investigated the non-fatal shooting and eventually connected the suspect to the violent crime.
Paterson NJ police officers then located and arrested the suspect at a residence on Straight Street in Paterson.
The suspect has been charged with multiple crimes, including attempted murder, aggravated assault, and various weapons offenses.
After being arrested and processed, the suspect was taken to the Passaic County Jail. He was being held at the correctional facility without bail.
