Paterson heroin dealer arrested after surveilance operation, Passaic County sheriff says

A story on NJ.com stated that Paterson investigators set up surveillance after receiving a tip about drug sales in the area of North 5th and Clinton Streets, according to Passaic County Sheriff Richard H. Berdnik.

A heroin dealer and two of his customers were arrested after sheriff s detectives watched the two separate drug transactions in the city, authorities said on Monday. The operation led to the arrests of buyers Hope Rogers, 50, of Wayne, and Brian Roberts, 30, of Bloomfield, on charges of having 10 envelopes of heroin, the sheriff said. The two purchased heroin from Kadeem Coleman, 22, of Paterson, Berdnik said.

Detectives found Coleman with about $750 in suspected drug money and charged him with him various drug offenses, including distribution of heroin, Berdnik added. He also had eight warrants issued out of Paterson and was taken to the city s holding cell.
