Ryan Dempsey, 24, was ordered held without bail at the Bergen County Jail ahead of extradition proceedings, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office said in a statement.
Louisiana State Police identified Dempsey as the man who was using the internet to engage in “sexually explicit chats and activity,” with the juvenile, authorities said. He faces charges in that state of computer aided solicitation of a minor and indecent behavior with a juvenile.
Bergen County investigators found images and videos of child pornography while serving a search warrant at Dempsey’s home, the prosecutor’s office said. He was charged with child endangerment in that case.
