Deported N.J. sex offender arrested trying to sneak back into U.S, authorities say

A man who was deported after being convicted for sexually abusing an 8-year old acquantince was arrested on Monday. He was allegedly trying to slip back into the United States from Mexico.

Abraham Anibol Chumil, who is 34-year-old and is a citizen of Guatemala, allegedly sexually assaulted the daughter of a friend on two separate occasions in the girl s home in Fairview, NJ back in 2013.

Chumil was later convicted and then sentenced to five years in prison on Nov. 14, 2014, said. Shortly after being sentenced, Chumil was deported. He then resurfaced this week when U.S. Customs and Border Protections agents arrested him in Rio Grande City, Texas.

According to the Bergen County Prosecutor s Office, Chumil previously resided in North Bergen.
