Police in Bloomingdale NJ are searching for a suspect who allegedly assaulted a woman during a violent altercation on the road.
The road rage incident occurred around 6:30 a.m. on a roadway in Bloomingdale, New Jersey. According to law enforcement, the altercation started in West Milford, where the 55-year-old victim was driving her car and noticed a white van following close behind her.
The van reportedly attempted to move past the victim s vehicle a number of times. This prompted the victim to pull over on the side of Main Street in Bloomingdale, NJ. As the van drove past her, the suspect allegedly lowered the window and threw a soda bottle at the victim.
The bottle reportedly shattered the driver s side window on the victim s car. Additionally, the bottle reportedly hit the victim in the face and resulted in injuries.
The Bloomingdale Police Department was notified of the traffic incident and dispatched officers to the scene. Bloomingdale NJ detectives are currently investigating and hoping to identify the suspect.
Depending on the outcome of the investigation, it is possible that the culprit could face aggravated assault charges in the case.
