Paterson NJ Man Accused of Throwing Deadly Punch in Fight

Paterson Manslaughter SuspectPaterson NJ law enforcement arrested a local man who allegedly killed another man in a deadly fight at a bar.

The suspect is a 34-year-old resident of Paterson, New Jersey. According to authorities, the suspect got into a heated verbal altercation with a 53-year-old Elizabeth NJ man at J&G Lounge & Liquors in Paterson, NJ. The argument reportedly turned physical at one point, with the Paterson suspect allegedly throwing a punch that landed on the victim s face and caused the victim to fall onto the ground.

The Paterson Police Department later received a 911 call about the violent fight and dispatched police officers to the bar, which is located at 227 Park Avenue in Paterson, New Jersey. When Paterson cops arrived at the scene, they found the victim suffering from a significant head wound.

The victim was rushed via ambulance to nearby St. Joseph s Regional Medical Center, where doctors pronounced him dead.

The suspect has been charged with reckless manslaughter in connection with the fatal altercation. A conviction on the manslaughter charges could potentially result in the suspect being sentenced to a term of incarceration of 10 years in NJ State Prison.
