East Orange Man Pleads Guilty to Robbery of Passaic NJ Club

Passaic NJ Robbery LawyersAn East Orange NJ man is headed to prison after he pleaded guilty to the armed robbery of a club in Passaic New Jersey.

The suspect is a 29-year-old resident of East Orange, New Jersey. He was reportedly part of a group of men who held up a bar located in Passaic NJ.

The suspect allegedly brandished a handgun during the September 2015 robbery and threatened an employee at the tavern.

Law enforcement eventually identified the alleged robbers and placed them under arrest. The East Orange suspect was subsequently charged with federal crimes for armed robbery and weapons offenses.

The suspect ultimately avoided trial in the case by reaching a plea agreement with the US Attorney s Office and pleading guilty to robbery charges. When the suspect appears in court for formal sentencing in September 2017, he will face decades in federal prison.

Two other suspects have also been charged for the Passaic NJ armed robbery. Those suspects, a 32-year-old Irvington man and a 28-year-old South Orange NJ man, were indicted by a federal grand jury in March 2017 and could stand trial in US District Court later this year.
