The State of New Jersey recently revoked the teaching credentials of a Prospect Park woman who was convicted of multiple sex crimes.
The suspect, a 22-year-old resident of Prospect Park, NJ, was employed as a substitute teacher. She was accused of having sex with several underage students at schools in Haledon NJ, including Manchester Regional High School.
According to law enforcement, the suspect had sex with students who were under the age of 16. She also reportedly sent nude photographs to a 14-year-old boy.
The suspect reached a plea deal with the Passaic County Prosecutor s Office and pleaded guilty to sex offense charges, including aggravated sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child.
The suspect was ultimately sentenced to three years in New Jersey State Prison. Additionally, the suspect will be required to register as a convicted sex offender under Megan s Law when she is released from prison.
Now the suspect s teaching license has been revoked by the state, meaning that she will no longer be eligible to teach or secure public employment in New Jersey.
