Wayne NJ Man Charged with Drunk Driving in Bergen County, NJ

Wayne New Jersey DWI LawyersA Wayne New Jersey man was arrested earlier this week on drunk driving charges in Oakland, NJ.

The suspect is a 48-year-old man who lives in Passaic County and serves as the Bergen County director of safety and security. He was reportedly caught driving while intoxicated on Franklin Avenue in Oakland, New Jersey.

Concerned motorists notified the Oakland Police Department about an erratic driver near Franklin Avenue and Ramapo Valley Road around 4:15 p.m. Oakland NJ cops were subsequently dispatched to the area, where they found the suspect and pulled over his motor vehicle.

According to authorities, the suspect s vehicle, a black Ford Explorer, sustained damage to a mirror after striking a residential mailbox.

The suspect was placed under arrest and charged with multiple traffic violations, including Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) and having an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle.

In addition to facing DWI charges in Bergen County, the suspect was also suspended without pay from his job with the Bergen County Sheriff s Office. The suspect is expected to remain in effect while the drunk driving charges are still pending.
