Paterson NJ Man Allegedly Used Gun to Shoot, Injure Person near Montgomery Park

Paterson NJ Attempted Murder ChargesPassaic County authorities recently arrested a Paterson NJ man who allegedly committed a non-fatal shooting.

The arrest was made around 3:20 a.m. in Paterson, New Jersey. According to the Passaic County Sheriff s Office, a couple of sheriff s officers were on patrol near the intersection of Oxford and North 9th Street when they pulled over a motor vehicle.

When the police officers approached the car, they noticed that the exterior of the vehicle appeared to have bullet holes and other damage related to gunfire.

Police then looked inside the vehicle and found a passenger suffering from a gunshot graze wound to his head. The victim, a 25-year-old Paterson man, was taken to Saint Joseph s Regional Medical Center, where he received medical treatment from doctors for his gunshot-related injuries.

Passaic County law enforcement spoke with the victim while investigating the incident and soon identified the suspect as the likely culprit. It is believed that the suspect used a handgun to fire several shots at the victim somewhere along Lawrence Street in Paterson, New Jersey.

Police officers located the suspect walking near Montgomery Park, which is close to the site of the alleged shooting incident.

A subsequent search of the suspect by Passaic County police allegedly led to the discovery of a large .45-caliber semi-automatic pistol. According to officials, the handgun had been defaced.

The suspect was placed under arrest without incident and transported to police headquarters.

The suspect is a 25-year-old man who lives in Paterson, NJ. He faces criminal charges for attempted murder, aggravated assault, and multiple weapons offenses in connection with the non-fatal shooting.
