In the historical district of Paterson a woman told police she had to fight off a taxi driver who had tried to abduct her as she walked home in the city s Great Falls-area Sunday.
The woman told officers she was walking east on the McBride Avenue Extension around 6:40 p.m. when she noticed a green taxi driving slow and pull up next to her, police said. The driver got out, pulled her hair and tried to get her in the car.
According to police, the woman said she managed to fight her way free from the man and ran away screaming.
The attacker was described as a black man, 5-foot-11, weighing 150 pounds and wearing all dark clothing.
