Wyckoff Man Argues With Mother, Turns on Police

Christopher Frawley, a 35 year-old Wyckoff man (pictured left), has been sent to the Bergen County jail in lieu of $25,000 bail as a result of a domestic violence incident Friday night involving his mother.

According to authorities, two police officers from the Wyckoff Police Department were sent to investigate an incident between Frawley and his 67-year old mother on Friday night. Upon arrival, they found Frawley, who appeared to be drunk and who was acting aggressively. The Wyckoff officers called for back-up, and four additional officers (from both the Wyckoff Police Department and the Midland Park Police Department) arrived to assist. A struggle ensued between Frawley and the officers, which resulted in injuires to at least one officer (who later sought attention at Valley Hospital). It appears that the officer injured his knee and is out of work pending MRI results.

Frawley was taken into custody and charged with Aggravated Assault Against a Law Enforcement Officer and Criminal Mischief (for damage that he caused to one of the police cruisers).
