Woodland Park Man caught selling Heroin in Paterson according to authorities

In Paterson, police arrested an alleged heroin dealer and two of his customers on Friday night, according to Passaic County Sheriff Richard H. Berdnik.

Two detectives were investigating a complaint made about drug dealing near Totowa Avenue between Paterson and Manchester Avenue. Detective Sgt.Tom Adamo and Detective Stephen Lantigua of Passaic County Sheriff s Office were leading the investigation when they saw David Alejandro, 60 of Paterson, buy three glassine envelopes of heroin from the driver of a silver Kia, Berdnik said.

Later, they watched the Kia driver, identified as Rafael Pica, 23 of Woodland Park, conducting another transaction with Patrick Boyd, 23 of Wyckoff, Berdnik stated. Detectives arrested Boyd, who was found to have 40 glassine envelopes of heroin.

They also arrested Pica, who had 114 envelopes of heroin and $447 in cash, which they also seized as suspected narcotics proceeds, Berdnik said.

Police charged Alejandro and Boyd with drug possession. Pica was charged with three counts of drug possession, distribution and distribution within 1,000 feet of a school zone.
