Two Suspects Accused of Armed Robbery of Convenience Store in Paterson, New Jersey

Paterson NJ Armed Robbery SuspectsPaterson NJ police are searching for two men who allegedly committed an armed robbery at a local convenience store.

According to authorities, the suspects entered the Quicks Convenience Store located on Railway Avenue in Paterson, New Jersey. Once inside the store, the suspects walked past a line of customers, approached a clerk, and allegedly ordered him to hand over cash from the register.

The store employee later told police that one of the suspects was brandishing a handgun during the theft. The suspect allegedly pointed the gun at the clerk.

After getting cash from the store worker, the suspects exited the convenience store and fled the scene. The suspects were seen getting into a beige four-door vehicle, which they then drove down East Railway Avenue. There was reportedly a third suspect inside the car.

Now Paterson NJ police have released surveillance images taken from store security cameras. The photos reportedly show the suspects committing the robbery.

If police can eventually identify and arrest the suspects, it is likely that serious criminal charges for armed robbery would follow. As set forth by N.J.S.A. 2C:15-1, anyone who commits a theft while using a deadly weapon such as a handgun or a knife can be charged with a first degree felony and potentially sentenced to 10-20 years in New Jersey State Prison.
