The search continues for Gonzalo Ochoa-Hernandez, a 28-year old man whose last known address is in Maryland, according to authorities. Ochoa-Hernandez was charged earlier this week with attempting to kill his 17-year old girlfriend, who was rushed to the hospital in critical condition after being stabbed multiple times following a domestic dispute at her Passaic apartment. Although her injuries were characterized as “life-threatening” by authorities, her condition has been upgraded and she is now expected to make a full recovery.
The victim was discovered when EMS was called to the apartment on the report of a party “not feeling well.” Upon their arrival, they found the victim stabbed. A kitchen knife and pair of scissors were also found in the apartment.
The arrest warrant charges Ochoa-Hernandez with Attempted Murder, Aggravated Assault, two counts of Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose, and two counts of Unlawful Possession of a Weapon. According to local police, they have already been in touch with the authorities in Maryland.
