Ringwood NJ Man Charged with Domestic Violence Murder

Ringwood Domestic Violence HomicideRingwood NJ police recently arrested a local man accused of murdering his ex-girlfriend in a domestic violence incident.

The suspect is a 38-year-old man and the victim was a 38-year-old woman. Both of them lived in Ringwood, New Jersey. According to Passaic County prosecutors, the suspect went to the Van Dunk Lane home of the victim just before midnight on Wednesday and used a shotgun to fire a blast through her front door.

Ringwood NJ police officers were dispatched to the scene after receiving a report of gunshots being fired. When they arrived at the residence, they found the suspect and placed him under arrest. Police also reportedly recovered the shotgun used in the violent attack.

Passaic County detectives investigated the homicide and determined that the suspect and the victim previously dated but broke up prior to the fatal shooting.

The suspect was allegedly upset about the end of the relationship and went to the victim s Ringwood NJ house with a shotgun. According to authorities, the suspect got into a verbal altercation with a male visitor to the victim s house. The suspect reportedly left the residence, only to return later with the shotgun.

The suspect has been charged with numerous crimes, including first degree murder and unlawful possession of a weapon.
