Paterson NJ police captured a man accused of murdering two people at a warehouse party.
The 30-year-old suspect, who is from Paterson, was placed under arrest in Passaic, New Jersey. Police officers were able to locate him after receiving a tip about his location.
The fatal shootings happened around 3:45 a.m. on December 27, 2015. The suspect reportedly committed a double homicide at party held at a warehouse located at 55 1st Avenue in Paterson, NJ.
Two people, a 24-year-old man and a 26-year-old man, were killed at the late-night warehouse party. The victims were both from Paterson, New Jersey.
Paterson police searched throughout Paterson but were unable to find the suspect until now. Also assisting with the investigation were detectives with the Passaic County Prosecutor s Office.
The suspect is reportedly an ex-con who was released from prison in April 2015 after serving a four-year sentence for aggravated assault and weapons offenses.
The suspect has been charged with multiple crimes in connection with the recent homicides, including first degree murder and several gun crimes. Thus far, the suspect has only been charged with one count of murder.
After the arrest was made and criminal charges were officially filed against the suspect, the Paterson police director issued a statement praising investigators who worked tirelessly in solving and bringing those responsible to face justice and closure to the family.
