A Paterson woman was charged in a stabbing early Saturday that left a man critically hurt, according to city police. Virginia Jackson, 49, a city resident, was charged with aggravated assault and weapons offenses, police said.
Officers found the victim stabbed on North 5th Street after initially responding to a reported shooting on the street around 3:30 a.m., police said. The victim, who was not identified, was rushed to St. Joseph s Regional Medical Center and listed in critical, but is in stable condition.
