In Paterson, city police officers after responding to a call of residents hearing multiple shots fired at the intersection of Warren and East 16th streets found a victim shot to death early Monday morning.
The victim, appeared to be in his late 30s, was found unresponsive near 296 East 16th Street at around 2:20 a.m. Minutes before the victim was found dead at the location police received calls of four to five shots fired in the area of Warren and East 16th streets.
A white BMW was observed leaving the scene through Warren Street towards East 18th Street. A black male was seen running up Putnam Street towards East 18th Street.
Police have not released the victim s name or other any further details.
