The arrest was made around 8:15 a.m. According to law enforcement, a Paterson police officer was on patrol, working a traffic assignment in the area of Summer Street and Broadway, when he heard the sounds of gunshots being fired.
The police officer was parked at a construction site in Paterson when he heard the gunfire. He went to the source of the gunshots and was directed by witnesses to nearby Hamilton Avenue.
When the Little Falls officer got to Hamilton Avenue, he found the 27-year-old suspect walking on the street and allegedly carrying a gun.
