Paterson Man Shot During Home Invasion Robbery

Police are looking for two men that forced their way into a 38-year old’s residence in Paterson Friday night and then shot him during a robbery attempt.

Authorities revealed that the victim (whose identity has not been released) was outside of his single-family home on Illinois Avenune in the Lakeview section of Paterson on Friday night at approximately 10:45pm, when two armed men approached him and ordered him inside. Once inside, they attempted to rob him. During the apparent struggle that ensued, several shots were fired, one of which struck the victim in his left leg.

According to reports, the victim is in stable condition at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center.
