Former Wayne NJ High School Football Star Accused of Rape

Kevin Olsen Rape ChargesA former student and star football player at Wayne Hills High School in Wayne NJ has been accused of raping a woman in North Carolina.

The suspect is Kevin Olsen, a 22-year-old junior at the University of North Carolina-Charlotte. Olsen s brother, Greg Olsen, is a tight end for the Carolina Panthers in the National Football League (NFL). Meanwhile, Olsen is a quarterback for his college football team.

According to law enforcement in Charlotte, NC, Olsen became highly intoxicated and then raped a 23-year-old female.

The attack has been classified as a domestic violence incident because Olsen was reportedly dating the victim.

The victim told authorities that Olsen became angry when the pair got separated while drinking in Charlotte, North Carolina. When the pair reunited at Olsen s apartment, things reportedly turned violent. Olsen allegedly threatened to kill himself and later threatened to harm the victim. He then allegedly raped the victim three times.

The victim managed to sneak out of the apartment and went to Carolinas Medical Center University.

Law enforcement conducted an investigation and determined that enough evidence existed to place the suspect under arrest. Olsen now faces criminal charges for sexual assault, terroristic threats, and aggravated assault.

After being arrested, Olsen was transported to a local jail and held on a $103K bond. Officials expected Olsen to be released from jail after posting bond.

The suspect has already been suspended from the UNC-Charlotte football team. His status as a student at the university could depend on the outcome of the criminal charges against him.
