Police arrested three men and are searching for two others in connection with a violent kidnapping and assault at a motel in Wayne, New Jersey.
The five suspects allegedly gained entry into a motel room at the Wayne Inn in Wayne, NJ. Once inside the room, the suspects reportedly attacked one of the occupants and then told him that they had kidnapped his girlfriend. The victim was reportedly instructed to give the suspects a ransom of $2,000 cash; if he failed to do so, his girlfriend would be killed.
The victim s girlfriend had reportedly been kidnapped the suspects and was being held against her will at a home located in Paterson, NJ. Police officers were later able to locate the female victim and rescue her.
Meanwhile, the suspects savagely beat the male victim and stole his wallet and prescription medicine, according to authorities.
Detectives with the Wayne Police Department investigated the incident and were eventually able to apprehend three of the suspects in Paterson, New Jersey.
All of the suspects have been charged with multiple criminal offenses, including kidnapping, aggravated assault, robbery, criminal coercion, and conspiracy.
Two of the kidnapping and assault suspects are still at large. Wayne NJ law enforcement has warned that the suspects should be considered armed and dangerous, so anyone who encounters the men is asked to contact local police.
The suspects who were apprehended are being held at the Passaic County Jail in lieu of separate bail amounts of $100,000.
