Drive-by shooting left 17-year old wounded in Paterson

In Paterson a 17-year-old boy was wounded in a drive-by shooting as he walked on a city street Thursday afternoon, police said.

The teen whom is a city resident, was walking between Hamilton and Godwin avenues, on Auburn Street, around 12:25 p.m. when someone fired at him from a moving dark colored vehicle, according to Detective Lt. Patrick Murray, head of the Ceasefire Unit.

He was hit in the shoulder and listed in stable condition at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center, Murray said in a statement. Additional details were not given.
