Law enforcement is searching for three suspects accused of stealing cars from an auto dealership in Clifton, New Jersey.
The theft incident occurred around 2:00 a.m. The suspects allegedly broke into B&M Auto Mall, which is located on Hazel Street in Clifton NJ, and stole three motor vehicles.
The suspects reportedly gained access to the dealership by forcing open a door. Once they were on the lot, the suspects allegedly used a Nissan Sentra from the lot to smash through a fence.
Paterson NJ police officers and Clifton NJ police officers were dispatched to the scene after receiving a report of a break-in. However, the suspects were already gone by the time cops arrived at the car dealership.
It is believed that the suspects stole a 2007 BMW, a 2010 Mercedes Benz, and a 2011 Nissan Maxima. The three motor vehicles have a total value of approximately $70,000.
According to authorities, at least one of the three suspects may have attempted to commit a break-in at the same Clifton NJ auto dealership a few weeks ago.
If and when police can identify and apprehend the suspects, it is likely that the culprits will be charged with multiple crimes, including auto theft and burglary.
