A woman was killed and a man was critically injured in an accident on the Garden State Parkway near mile marker 152 in Bloomfield NJ.
According to New Jersey State Police, the accident occurred when the injured parties’ white Acura veered into a guardrail and then hit a tree on the Garden State Parkway.
Police said that the man was driving the car while the woman sat in the passenger seat. Police believe that the man lost control of the car before it careened into the guardrail and the tree.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. Meanwhile, the man was transported to University Hospital in Newark, where he was listed in critical condition.
NJ State Police said that an investigation into the accident is pending.
