Suspects Arrested with Drugs After Crashing into Hawthorne Restaurant

According to authorities, two suspects have been arrested after crashing into an Italian restaurant in Hawthorne on Tuesday afternoon. Officers responded to the Bella Fig restaurant shortly after 12:30pm. As the officers arrived, the suspects were seen allegedly running into a house on Passaic Avenue. The passenger, Twyuan Lopez, 42, of Paterson surrendered but the driver, 40 year-old Hommy Colon refused and had to be forced out of the house. After searching the house, police allegedly found six baggies of crack cocaine, two glassine envelopes of heroin, marijuana and several needles. A fine of up to $35,000.00 may be imposed;
