Paterson Man Arrested for Shoplifting in Clifton

According to authorities, a man in Clifton was caught shoplifting at the Corrado’s store on Main Street. Police allegedly received reports that 29 year-old Jean Carlos Santana-Maldonado had shoplifted and that the suspect had fled on foot. Once police apprehended Santana-Maldonado on a neighboring street, they also discovered that the suspect have driven to Corrado’s in a stolen 1998 Honda Civic which they believe was stolen from Hackensack. Police allegedly found in the car several pieces of “potential stolen property.” Santana-Maldonado was subsequently charged with Shoplifting, Possession of Stolen Property and Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance.
