Paterson NJ police arrested an East Orange man accused of shooting someone at a local business.
The suspect is a 26-year-old resident of East Orange, New Jersey. According to authorities, he used a handgun to fire multiple gunshots at the 22-year-old victim. The shooting occurred outside a business located near the intersection of Montgomery Street and Summer Street in Paterson, NJ.
When Paterson NJ cops arrived at the scene, they found the victim suffering from several gunshot wounds. Emergency responders rushed the victim to nearby St. Joseph s Regional Medical Center, where doctors treated him for his injuries.
Meanwhile, detectives with the Paterson Police Department investigated the violent incident and eventually identified the suspect. He was later apprehended and placed under arrest.
The suspect has been charged with multiple crimes, including attempted murder and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
While the charges are pending, the suspect is being held at the Passaic County Jail.
