Man Allegedly Threatened Ex with Gun at Paterson NJ Residence

Paterson NJ Domestic Violence AttorneysPaterson NJ police recently arrested an Oradell NJ man who allegedly threatened to kill his ex-girlfriend at a Paterson house.

The domestic violence incident reportedly occurred a short time before 7:00 a.m. at a residence located near Broadway and East 26th Street in Paterson, New Jersey. According to law enforcement, the suspect brandished a handgun and pointed it at his ex-girlfriend.

The Paterson Police Department received a 911 call and dispatched police officers to the scene. By the time Paterson cops arrived at the home, the suspect was already gone. Police spoke to the victims, who said that the suspect threatened to murder his ex-girlfriend and then pointed the weapon at his ex s current boyfriend.

Paterson police officers were able to track down the suspect in his blue Mustang. Cops got the suspect to pull over in a Firestone parking lot located at 280 Broadway in Paterson, NJ. Police eventually arrested the suspect without further incident.

A subsequent search of the suspect s vehicle allegedly turned up a cache of weapons, including a Glock model-17 9mm handgun, an assault rifle, several ammunition magazines, and a ballistic vest that had been reported as stolen.

The suspect is a 34-year-old man from Oradell, NJ. He used to work as a US Customs and Border Protection officer. According to the Department of Homeland Security, he was fired from his job in 2012.

The suspect faces numerous criminal charges, including domestic violence harassment, aggravated assault, and unlawful possession of a weapon.
