Passaic NJ Man Charged with Aggravated Sexual Assaults of Two Minors

Passaic New Jersey Sexual Assault ChargesPolice recently arrested a Passaic New Jersey man accused of sexually assaulting two underage females.

It is believed that the sexual assaults occurred at residences located in Passaic, NJ. According to the Passaic County Prosecutor s Office, the suspect committed the sex crimes against a nine-year-old girl and a 12-year-old girl.

When law enforcement learned about the sex offense allegations, the Passaic County Prosecutor s Office Special Victims Unit opened an investigation into the suspect. Investigators eventually determined that enough evidence existed to arrest the suspect and criminally charge him.

The suspect, a 37-year-old male who resides in Passaic NJ, faces a number of sex crime charges, including aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault, and endangering the welfare of a child.

If the suspect is ultimately convicted on the most serious charges of aggravated sexual assault, he could end up spending decades behind bars. That s because aggravated sexual assault of a minor under the age of 13 is classified as a first degree felony. As such, a conviction for first degree aggravated sexual assault could lead to a sentence of 10-20 years in New Jersey State Prison.

Additionally, a conviction for a sex crime would likely result in the suspect being subject to Megan s Law sex offender registration requirements after being released from prison.

While the suspect awaits resolution of the sexual offense charges against him, he is being held at the Passaic County Jail on a $250K bail amount.
