Clifton New Jersey police are investigating a break-in and armed robbery at a local residence.
The violent incident occurred during the early morning hours, sometime after 1:00 a.m., with multiple suspects forcing their way into a home located on Sheridan Avenue in Clifton, NJ.
According to law enforcement, two suspects gained access to the residence and then held up the house occupants at gunpoint. It is believed that both suspects were brandishing firearms during the commission of the robbery.
The suspects reportedly got away with several personal possessions, including electronics and other valuables.
One of the home occupants reportedly sustained injuries during the incident. However, authorities have not revealed the extent of the victim s injuries.
Detectives with the Clifton Police Department are actively investigating the robbery. At this time, law enforcement has not yet been able to determine the identities of the armed home invaders.
If Clifton NJ police can eventually identify and apprehend the suspects, it is likely that criminal charges for armed robbery and weapons offenses would follow.
