Paterson NJ Police Search for Three Men Accused of Armed Robbery of Boost Mobile Store

Paterson New Jersey Robbery AttorneysPaterson NJ police are searching for three suspects accused of robbing a local cellphone store.

The theft incident occurred on December 18, 2015. According to law enforcement, the three male suspects walked into the Boost mobile store located at 291 Market Street, near the Paterson train station, and stole approximately $600 in cash.

Once the suspects were inside the cell phone store, they moved quickly. The suspects allegedly ordered workers standing behind the store counter to hand over money. One of the suspects reportedly brandished a weapon during the robbery.

After getting the cash from the store register, the suspects ran out of the store and fled the area on foot. Witnesses later told police that the suspects ran towards Park Avenue and 16th Avenue before disappearing from view.

The Paterson Police Department and the Passaic County Prosecutor s Office Major Crimes Unit are actively investigating the robbery. At this time, investigators have yet to identify any of the suspects in the case because the suspects covered their faces during the robbery.

Law enforcement recently released a video of the suspects committing the cell phone store robbery.

If the suspects are eventually identified and apprehended, they would face severe penalties. As set forth by N.J.S.A. 2C:15-1, a person who commits a theft while using a deadly weapon such as a handgun or a knife can be charged with a first degree felony and potentially sentenced to 10-20 years in New Jersey State Prison.
