Breaking news in Paterson an employee at a Power Gas station was shot when he tried to stop a robbery at the service station late Tuesday, city police said.
The two masked men demanded money at the food market area of the 21st Avenue station, but the 44-year-old worker, whom is a Haledon resident, intervened, according to Detective Lt. Patrick Murray, head of the city s Ceasefire Unit. One of the robbers shot him on the forearm around 11:20 p.m.
Murray said the assailants fled while the wounded employee went to St. Joseph s Regional Medical Center, where he was listed in stable condition.
