A warrant has been issued by the Jersey City Police Department for the arrest of Jojo Nonato, a 30-year old Haskell man (pictured to the left), who has been accused of assaulting and robbing a New York man.
According to reports, the man had driven Nonato’s girlfriend home from a New York casino and was “hanging out” with her at her home in Jersey City when Nonato and two of his friends arrived. Nonato’s girlfriend apparently left to get beer, at which point, Nonato and his friends took the victim to a basement apartment on Delaware Avenue. Nonato allegedly accused the victim of having sexual relations with his girlfriend and began punching him in the face. Nonato then held a handgun to the victim’s head while his two friends stole the victim’s iPad and jewelry.
The victim immediately reported the incident and was able to identify Nonato with his driver’s license photograph. The arrest warrant was then issued.
Anyone who knows of Nonato’s whereabouts is being asked to call (201) 547-JAIL.
